Incidents of Gunfire in Kingston

WARDENS PLEASE PASS APRIL 17, 2007

The United States Embassy confirmed with Jamaican Constabulary Force two incidents of gunfire that occurred today in the Denham Town and Arnett Gardens areas of Kingston.  The separate incidents occurred this morning and early this afternoon.  Police report that at least two victims were killed in each incident.  American citizens should monitor the local news for further information, and may wish to avoid traveling through these areas.

American citizens in Jamaica who require emergency assistance can contact the Embassy at (876) 702-6000.
