U.S. Embassy Consular Section to Close on Friday, June 29, 2007

The Consular Section of the Embassy of the United States of America in Kingston will be closed on Friday, June 29, 2007 for in-service training.  The rest of the Embassy will remain open.

There will be no visa interviews or routine American Citizen Services available.  If you were told to pick up your U.S. Passport from the American Citizen Services unit on June 29, you may pick it up on Thursday, June 28 instead. As always, emergency services for American citizens will continue to be available without interruption. American citizens with a bonafide emergency should call 702-6000.

The U.S. Consular Agency in Montego Bay at St. James Place on Gloucester Avenue,
Tel. 952-0160, will remain open for services to American citizens.  Public hours at the Agency are 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except for American and Jamaican holidays. 

The Consular Section will re-open for business as usual on Monday, July 2, 2007.
