The main office for American Citizen Services is located at the U.S. Embassy in Kingston, Jamaica. There are consular agents stationed in Montego Bay and Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands that also can provide assistance to American citizens living near those locations. Contact information for all consular service agents is provided below.
Registration: American citizens living in or visiting Jamaica are encouraged to register with the Consular Section at the Embassy as soon as possible after arrival in Jamaica. You can register on-line by clicking on https://travelregistration.state.gov/ibrs/ to let us know you're here.
American Citizen Services Hours - Kingston
Window Services: Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Office Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:15 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Note: The American Embassy is closed on all Jamaica and U.S. holidays.
The Consular Section of the US Embassy will be closed to the public on April 30th for scheduled training. Beginning June 5, 2009, the Consular Section will be closed the first Friday of every other month for training. The training dates for 2009 are: June 5th, August 7th, October 2nd, and December 4th.
Note: All visitors to the Embassy are subject to a security check. The Embassy reserves the right to limit the entry of your possessions, including umbrellas, cell phones and other electronic items, and does not have the means to store these items for you. Thank you.
