Ms. Mauvalyn Bowen, Lecturer in Entrepreneurship and Management at the University of Technology’s (UTech) Faculty of Business and Management, will leave Jamaica shortly to begin a Doctoral Program in Business and Industry Studies at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. On her return to Jamaica, she hopes to set up an Entrepreneurship Unit in UTech’s School of Business that will allow students to major in the subject, while providing workshops and continuing education for Jamaican entrepreneurs.
Ms. Bowen obtained her Masters Degree in Workforce Education and Development from Southern Illinois University, and a Bachelors degree in Business Education from UTech. She also holds Post Graduate Diplomas and Certificates in Management and Technology Commercialization from the University of the West Indies and the University of Calgary in Canada.
