Passport Information

U.S. Passports

For information pertaining to U.S. passports, click on the U.S. citizens link for further guidance.

Non-U.S. Passport Guidelines

In general, when an applicant applies for a visa, they must have in their possession a current passport that is valid for at least 6 months after they are to return from the U.S.  Additionally, there should be enough blank pages in the passport to affix a visa if the visa is granted.  Passports should be in good condition and should not be damaged, mutilated, defaced or have missing or ripped pages.

Stolen/Lost Passports

If your passport was stolen or lost and it contained a valid U.S. visa, before you make an appointment to have the visa replaced you must contact the U.S. Embassy to file a stolen/missing passport report.  Additionally, you should file a police report with local JCF authorities that will be used by Embassy personnel to process your case.  Fees for new visas are $100 USD.  For more information, contact (876) 702-6045, Monday through Friday between 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., or send an e-mail to KingstonFPU@state.gov.
