Passport Issuance
The American Citizen Services (ACS) section provides many services to American citizens residing in Jamaica or the Cayman Islands who need U.S. passport assistance. If you believe your passport has been stolen, first report the theft to local police authorities and get a police declaration. To replace a lost, stolen or damaged passport, or if a new passport is needed, ACS can facilitate the issuance of a replacement passport. American visitors to Jamaica and the Cayman Islands can apply to replace lost or stolen passports during their stay.
Replacement passports cost $75 USD if the applicant is still in possession of the old passport; $100 USD without the old passport; and $85 USD for minors under the age of 16. To obtain a new or replacement passport, the following is needed:
Proof of U.S. Citizenship (i.e., a previous passport, birth certificate, naturalization certificate, etc.)
Valid, Government-Issued Photo Identification
Two 2" by 2" (5 cm x 5 cm) photos
