Study opportunities in the U.S. for lecturers under Fulbright/LASPAU Program


The United States Embassy's Office of Public Affairs invites applications from full-time lecturers in Jamaica’s tertiary level institutions to be considered for a grant under the 2007 Fulbright/LASPAU (Latin American Scholarship Program of American Universities) Faculty Development Program.

Sponsored by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs in the U.S. Department of State, the scholarships are available for full-time study in pursuit of Master’s or Doctoral degrees at U.S. Universities, beginning in August 2007.

Application forms may be downloaded at the following website:

All interested persons are required to complete the online application, as hardcopy applications are not available from the Office of Public Affairs. Applications must be submitted electronically no later than Tuesday, May 2, 2006. Once an application has been submitted, LASPAU officials can view the records of all applicants immediately and communicate with them electronically.
