PRESS RELEASES 2007

U.S. Embassy Trade Mission to Miami, June 24-29, 2007

The U.S. Commercial Service of the United States Embassy invites businesspersons to participate in an official U.S. Embassy Trade Mission to Miami and Tampa, Florida on June 24-29, 2007.

For the first time, the U.S. Commercial Service will be partnering with the Florida Foreign Trade Association (FFTA) to put together this event, which will prove invaluable for business persons seeking to source products and services along with investment opportunities in Florida.

The FFTA is a non-profit Trade Organization incorporated in July 1985 that represents a diverse group of individuals and companies in the foreign trade market. FFTA provides a forum where information and concepts are freely exchanged. The FFTA also routinely holds workshops and seminars designed to train beginners or executives in export/import and other related topics. FFTA operates in conjunction with a network of entities, which include Enterprise Florida, the Port of Miami and Miami International Airport.

During the mission, participants will have pre-arranged one-on-one meetings with up to nine potential suppliers/business partners and also tour the operation facilities of the Ports of Miami and Tampa. There will also be a briefing at the Miami International Airport and educational seminars covering issues such as financing imports and exports, freight consolidations, and insiders’ tips on how to do business with U.S. companies.

Businesspersons interested in participating in this event should immediately contact Emile Finlay at (876) 702-6117, Fax (876) 702-6396 or email emile.finlay@mail.doc.gov.
