U.S. Embassy to host College Fair

High School students from across the island who are interested in studying overseas will have an opportunity to explore all their options at the U.S. Embassy's college fair which is being held from October 14 to 16 in Kingston and Trelawny

The college fair, which is organized by the Information Resource Center of the U.S Embassy, will see the participation of several colleges and universities from the United States, Canada and Jamaica eager to recruit Jamaican students.

The first event is scheduled for October 14 and 15 at the Hilton Kingston Hotel, on Knutsford Boulevard in Kingston while the second event will be hosted at the Starfish Resorts in Duncans, Trelawny. College representatives will be on hand at each location for consultations from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day.

The U.S. embassy's college fair offers a unique experience for those who wish to study in the United States but who have limited knowledge about the diversity of the programs offered at these institutions. In addition to the consultations, there will be workshops specifically designed for guidance counselors and sixth form coordinators who assist students in preparing for study at the tertiary level.
